Control Joints

What Are Control Joints?

Control joints, also known as contraction joints, are preplanned, ordered cuts in concrete that control where natural cracks form. With a control joint, cracks will form under the surface of the concrete at the joint instead of on the surface of the concrete slab.

Extending the Life of Your Concrete

Our experienced technicians will strategically place control joints throughout your concrete slabs. These joints decrease the stress the slabs experience, significantly increasing their strength. With added strength and support, your concrete floors, sidewalks, and driveways will be able to better withstand the pressure of time and weather. You can trust our professionally cut control joints to increase the longevity of your concrete.

Maintaining Aesthetic Appeal

Because cracks will form under the surface of the concrete when control joints are cut, you won’t have to worry about random crevices forming on the top of the slab. Without unsightly cracks running through the surface of your concrete, you’ll have the smooth, presentable surface you need. Without visible cracks, your concrete floors or driveways will also be easier to clean and maintain.
